The Future of Recognition for Innovation

TAG Awards JUDGE Debbie Greenway

Some people work in technology.

Some people love technology.

Debbie Greenway is firmly in the second category.

We’re proud to welcome Debbie, Executive Vice President of FEIG Electronics, to the TAG Awards judging panel this season. Her addition brings more than experience. It brings perspective, curiosity, and a genuine appreciation for innovation done right.

Debbie’s career in tech began when she was just 16, working third-shift weekends at a semiconductor factory. Since then, she’s spent more than 25 years leading in high-tech environments, building scalable systems, guiding strategy, driving digital transformation, and helping customers turn complex ideas into real-world solutions.

At FEIG, she works at the center of RFID technology and customer-driven innovation. That might sound technical (and it is), but the impact is deeply human. Especially in healthcare.

RFID is helping combat the counterfeiting of medical devices. It’s tracking life-saving equipment inside hospitals so clinicians can find what they need when seconds matter. It’s being integrated into implants and prosthetics to monitor temperature, pressure, and infection risk, reducing invasive follow-ups and improving patient outcomes.

Debbie sees these innovations early. She works with the companies, building them. She understands both the promise and the practical realities, including regulatory timelines, scalability, manufacturability, and market readiness.

And yet, after decades in the industry, she’s still energized by what’s next.

When asked what she’s most looking forward to as a TAG Awards judge, she didn’t hesitate: “I’m really excited to see what these companies have come up with as ways to solve problems.”

That mindset matters.

Debbie isn’t coming to the panel with cynicism. She’s coming with curiosity. She’s seen technology evolve over four decades, from early semiconductor manufacturing to self-driving vehicles, and she’s still amazed by the creativity of people who take existing tools and use them in entirely new ways.

She also brings something equally important: leadership insight. Having led teams and organizations, Debbie understands the cultural impact of recognition. Awards aren’t just press releases. They’re validation for the engineers, developers, and operators who rarely stand in the spotlight. They’re fuel for morale. They’re proof that the long nights and hard problems were worth it.

She believes third-party recognition creates real differentiation in the market, not just flashy hype, but credible validation that helps companies tell their story with confidence.

That combination, technical depth, executive leadership, and a sincere love of innovation, makes Debbie an incredible addition to the TAG Awards.

We’re excited to have her helping identify and celebrate the technologies shaping the future of medtech, life sciences, and biotech!

Welcome to the panel, Debbie!
